The Vice-President
The White House
Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear Mr. Vice-President:

May I quote the back of my social security card to you? "Improper use of this card and/or number by the number holder or any other person is punishable by fine, imprisonment or both." This is a great idea: warning the public to respect the card! And how many people get caught breaking this law? Probably very few if any.

This seems like such a good idea that I am sure you want to use it in your campaign to protect Old Glory. I suggest that the government set itself up as sole producer of flags. You cold then distribute Official Flags to the great people of this nation with a warning similar to the one found on the back of the social security card! Since technically the flags would not be the private property of those who have them (they would still remain the private property of the government), then no one could burn them or defile them!

This would destroy the intentions of those liberals of both slants! The ones who feel it is their constitutional right to rend our flag to pieces in public as well as those who feel that private property is private property (those burners!). Anyway, I can only hope that something really dramatic and vengeful is done as soon as possible!

Also, I am angry with all those ex-Americans who did not trust our President’s judgement when he chose you for Vice-President. You have really shown them! Keep up all that good work!

Also, I would be grateful if you would send me an autographed photo.

A true fan,

Phil Saunders
